The Winterland season runs from February 10th to March 9th. Jamtli in its winter garb invites children and adults to cosy up for a sleigh ride, follow the folklore trail among the characters and creatures of legend, and join weekend activities with animals and culture. In the exhibition "What are you wearing" you can try different clothing styles and see how your behaviour is affected, or have a go at the catwalk. Don’t miss the grand finale during the last week. It will be full of strange pine cones (!) and an art studio for children.

Weekend themes

Charles XII were known as Caroleans. After the king's death in 1718, 3000 of them died in the mountains during retreat from Norway. This weekend is packed with activities and drama, in memory of one of the most dramatic incidents in Swedish history.
