In the museum’s archive, you can find an artefact register, press cuttings, an ancient remains register and much more.
The archive is situated on the second floor of the old museum building, and it is open to the public Mon.-Fri. 12:00-15:00.
Library
In the library, we focus on literature on the cultural history of Jämtland, Sweden and mid- Scandinavia in general. The collection comprises ca. 35 000 volumes and 100 periodicals, and has been acquired over the past 110 years.
Photo archive
The photo archive comprises ca. 9 million negatives and glass plates, and is on of the largest photo collections in Sweden. Today, one can search amongst approximately 700 000 of the photos manually, whereas more than 85 000 pictures can be enjoyed online
