Where’s the limit?

Friday whiskey, Saturday wine, herring dram, wedding champagne…
To most people, alcohol is a given ingredient in any celebration. But when the wine glass becomes an everyday companion and the whiskey bottle is the most important thing in the desk drawer at work, the party is over a long time ago.
This exhibition wants the visitor to reflect upon her/his own and other’s relation to alcohol. When is it okay to have a drink or two, and when is it not? And who decides where the limit is?
Prod: Museum of work, in cooperation with Systembolaget, the Swedish Alcohol Retail Monopoly.

Light the darkness! – Incorrect creativity

About the “unknown” Swedish art scene between 1975 and 1985.
In the 1960’s, art was supposed to be authentic and natural. A reaction came in the 70’s, with a generation of artists focusing on the artificial and the superficial. Form became more important than content, cynicism defeated idealism; punk replaced the protest songs…
The exhibition is compiled by the Gothenburg-based artists Ola Åstrand and Ulf Kihlander.
Production: The Göteborg Museum of Art
