Of Sweden´s 20 000 Sami people, about 2500 are involved in reindeer herding.The photographer Christer Olofsson followed The Sparrock family of the Jijnjevaerie Sami community for a decade around the turn of the century. This exhibition offers a fascinating insight into the life of the reindeer herders of our time.

Light the darkness! – Incorrect creativity

About the “unknown” Swedish art scene between 1975 and 1985.
In the 1960’s, art was supposed to be authentic and natural. A reaction came in the 70’s, with a generation of artists focusing on the artificial and the superficial. Form became more important than content, cynicism defeated idealism; punk replaced the protest songs…
The exhibition is curated by the Gothenburg-based artists Ola Åstrand and Ulf Kihlander.

Jamtli Christmas Market

For three days, 20.000 visitors and 200 vendors of genuine handicraft meet to prepare for Christmas in a unique atmosphere at Jamtli.
