Collections

Jamtli’s collections are treasuries for anyone seeking knowledge about the cultural history of Jämtland and Härjedalen. The items carry stories about the people and the living conditions of the area, about nature’s significance and about the local history of specific farms and hamlets.

Archaeological findings and other everyday-life objects from the past form the core of the collections. Jamtli hosts one of Sweden’s largest photo archives, a huge collection of regional art, an extraordinary compilation of textiles and a unique collection of items from the 1970’s.
